Oven & Hob

Gas Hob - For the gas hob press down and turn the knob anticlockwise for the burner you want to use, and then press the automatic ignition button in the bottom right corner to ignite the flame . Adjust the flame by turning the knob — low to high.
When finished, turn the knob back to the “●” (off) position.
💡 Safety tip: Make sure all burners are completely off when not in use.

Electric Oven - There is a cooker switch on the wall to turn the cooker on and off . There are 2 dials on the oven and a digital timer display .

Left dial - Select a cooking function. The third function anticlockwise turns the fan oven on.
* Fan symbol – Fan oven (even heat for most cooking).
* ▭ Top & bottom line – Conventional oven.
* ☀ (single top line) – Grill.
* ❄ (snowflake) – Defrost.

Right Dial : Sets the temperature Turn the dial clockwise to set the temperature.

Place your food on a suitable shelf or tray. Close the door fully When finished turn both dials back to 0 to switch off.

Digital Display : The center buttons control the clock and timer.
* “+” / “–” adjust time.
* The timer will beep when done but won’t turn off the oven automatically.

Allow the oven and hob to cool before cleaning. Wipe with a damp cloth — avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.

Fridge Freezer -

You should not need to adjust any settings. If you run into any difficulties (e.g. it's not cooling efficiently) please let us know.

Washing Machine -

You have 2 main settings on the machine. The small left dial is for the temperature, and the larger dial to the right is for the setting. Load your washing and pop a laundry pod into the main cycle with your washing. You also have a compartment on the top left if you want to use fabric conditioner. Make sure the door is shut firmly. Adjust the dials for the type of load you have and the temperature you require and press “ Start “. There is list on the front of the machine advising you of the required setting to use based on your type of wash. When the load has finished you will see “ END “ on the front of the machine. You can now open the door and unload.

Microwave -

Instructions for the Russell Hobbs microwave are in the draw under the microwave.

Heating:

Please find the heating thermostat in the hallway on the counter by the internet router . Turn the dial to the 3rd option ( from left to right ) which is manual and has the hand icon . From here you can adjust the temperature using the + and - buttons on the right side control panel to set your comfort temperature and then press the “ok” button , which is the 2nd button from the bottom to set the temperature.

Waste and Recycling

The waste and recycling bins are located directly outside the property next next to the front door on the left inside the small wooden cage. There are 2 recycling bins ( Green and green lid ) and one black general rubbish bin. Please separate your trash accordingly. BIN DAY is Thursdays! Please leave relevant bins on the front on the pavement on Wednesday Evening.
