Safety & Regulations for
BLENHEIM HOUSE
Rules and Regulations:
Quiet Times - We are located on a residential street and it's home to many people. As such we ask that you respect their privacy and their right to a peaceful existence! Specifically, between the hours of 10 pm and 8 am noise should be kept to a minimum.
Breakages - We understand that sometimes accidents happen! Should you break anything please let us know immediately - if it's minor we usually won't charge. If it's a larger issue (e.g. the TV screen!) we would like to agree on the cost with you before you leave to avoid any issues later. Thank you!
Smoking Policy- This is a smoke-free home, however, you are permitted to smoke outside in the garden area, but please be sure to clear up after yourselves and do not leave stubs lying around.
Pets - We love animals but we chose to make this home pet-free due to many people being allergic.
Laundry- Please feel free to use the washing machine and tumble dryer provided and complementary laundry tablets.
What to do in an emergency - For emergency services (ambulance, police, fire) please immediately call 999. Do not delay if you feel an emergency situation has arisen. State your location as the address on the front page of this book. In case of a fire Exit the property via the front door as quickly as possible Ensure that all persons are accounted for Dial 999 and ask for ‘FIRE’ State your location (see the front page of this book) Do not attempt to re-enter the building until a Fire Officer states that it is safe to do so. Please call us once you are safely out of the building – 0203 603 8922 Emergency Phone Numbers -.
Fire Extinguisher The fire extinguisher is found in clear plain view in a bracket in the kitchen. It will either be on a counter or fixed to a wall. You also have a fire blanket. In “Blenheim House” the extinguisher is under the kitchen island by the back door.
First Aid Kit - The First Aid kit can be found in the kitchen on the worktop next to the fire blanket. Please notify us if you use any of its contents so that we can make sure it is complete for the next guests.
What to do in case of a power cut Power outages do not happen very often but please be prepared. The mother switchboard is located as you walk in the front door up on the wall to the right. All breakers are labelled.
Important Following a power outage, please ensure that all stove and oven switches are turned off immediately and all saucepans etc. are removed from the stovetop and oven. This will ensure that when external power is restored there is no risk of fire from burning pots and pans.
Candles - These are prohibited from use on the property.
